Return to Health Matters

Every 67 seconds, someone in the United States develops Alzheimer's disease. While younger-onset Alzheimer’s disease strikes before the age of 65, it is not likely to physically impact many Americans during their working years. But it does impact the people around us at work who are providing care to someone with Alzheimer’s disease. In 2013, 15.5 million caregivers provided an estimated 17.7 billion hours of unpaid care.

Knowing where to turn for help and connecting with local resources, education, respite care and support groups are the best ways to assist those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease.
